Homebrew Tasting - 6/11/07

I'm planning a home brew tasting. It would be a lot of fun to bring local home brewers together to share stories, knowledge and most importantly our beers.

Over the past year I've met a number of brewers, and I'm going to see if I can get in touch with them. I've got a bunch of lagers ready, and I'd like to know what others think of them. I'd love to see/taste what others have brewed as well. And now I have some "young" Belgian Pale Ale bottled on June 1, during primary racking.

I'm hosting it at my place in Rogers Park. It will be held on Monday June, 6th. If you're a home brewer, live nearby and are interested, please email me. Feel free to comment here as well. It will be a very casual thing lasting a couple of hours with some taste-bud cleansing snacks on the side.

Thank you

Hey Ted, I'll start it off here-definetely interested in meeting up with some fellow homebrewers, being new to the hobby/art I look forward to learning as much as I can from my peers whenever I can.

Unfortanetely..big suprise availability is not so good until after June 5th, we've got back-to-back houseguests coming up. If you do still pull it off during this time however I will make it a point to drop in for a bit if thats okay with you.

Thanks for letting me know about the home brew tasting. Should be a nice time. I look forward to all the tasting talk. What about suitable snacks for clearing the taste buds? Unfortunately, no garlic!

Well, I've got a date set. Since weekends are near impossible, and some weeknights. The best night is Monday. So lets do it next Monday (6/11) at 7pm to about 9. I'll revise the post...

Hadn't thought of snacks just yet. I think some basic crackers and soft mild cheeses will work fine.
